Week 5: All about plants
Week 6: Personal Flowers – corsages, boutonnieres, and specialty bouquets

Dates: Oct 26; Nov 2, 9, 16, 23

Go beyond ordinary! This advanced course is your time to push floral boundaries and master your artistic expression. Students will explore avant-garde techniques, dissect floral history, and develop a deeper understanding of the business of designing and selling flowers. Immerse yourself in Japanese Ikebana, the Hogarth Curve, and master contemporary trends to elevate your skills and stand out from the crowd.
*Beginner Course is a recommended prerequisite

Week 1: Review of beginner class; Introduction to Line Design and Ikebana, the Japanese floral art form
Week 2: The Hogarth curve and European vegetative designs
Week 3: Free Style Arranging and working with color
Week 4: Dried flowers – techniques to preserve and style “forever flowers”
Week 5: Large-scale design, mirror image design, and a final design challenge
